This recipe is basic for cooking quinoa. Quinoa has fewer calories than rice and pasta, and has more protein and fat. Quinoa, being rich in vegetable proteins and without limiting amino acids, is considered a very nutritious food.
Ingredients
1 cup Quinoa
2 cups Water or Broth
Pinch of Himalaya salt (or any sea salt )
Directions
Add the quinoa, the water or broth in a small saucepan over medium-heat and bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer until the liquid is absorbed and the outer coat spirals off the quinoa.
NOTE
Quinoa must be washed before cooking to remove the saponin it contains, for this it is rinsed for a few seconds under a stream of cold water, we will see that it foams for that saponin.
