Chia Pudding and All the Benefits

Chia seeds have become very popular because they are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and vegetable protein. Chia Pudding is an excellent option any time of the day, especially when complimented with a good quality vegetable or nut milk.

With the addition of spinach and red berries, you would be adding antioxidants and vitamin c, to the wonderful iron, fiber, and good fats contained in the chia pudding.

When chia seeds come in contact with moisture (like almond milk), a layer of gel forms on the outside. The seeds absorb water and swell over time; creating a tapioca-like texture with a little crunch.

Personally, I prefer using my home-made fresh almond milk with spinach and a date for a little sweetness. Click here to find my easy recipe to make your own fresh almond milk.
